Preseason Fantasy First Take

People always say you cannot look or take to much info from preseason games, but don't buy into that. Especially this season with a shortens off season due to the strike allot of valuable information can be taken from these initial games.
Last night we seem Tim Tebow look confident and comfortable, I believe with out a doubt he will be the opening game season. So that changes some fantasy outlook, Kyle Orton in the right situation will thrive, and Tebow will get you 20 TD's total. So if your in a league were quarterbacks only get 4 points for pass touchdowns and 6 for rushing Tebow could be a double digit consistent guy.
Vincent Jackson solidified himself as a top 10 guy, he is physically one of the biggest receivers out there and Philip Rivers is tossing him his balls. The patriots defense looks like a safe bet again, were as the Eagles look like there going to give up some big points again this season.
Kevin Kolb and Larry Fitzgerald looked to have good timing for there limited work together which is a good sign for there stocks. I also believe that everyone should stay clear of the Cowboys Defense.

There were a few suprises through the mock draft just as there is in normal drafts. People alot of the times feel as if they most follow rankings to a T but that is alwaycorrect. If you have a feeling that some body is going to have a monster year don't be affraid to take them over higher ranked ayers! Also another piece of advice, when TE and QB start coming off the board don't panic, and certainly don't change your draft plan. In the 4th round of our mock draft two TE came off in the first 2 picks, when this happens most people panic and take a TE unless 3-4 come off in a row stick too your guns. As the other team owners take a TE someone will fall too you.
Anyone interested in participating in a mock 'practice' draft, and or be in a readers fantasy football league with us email us at jbcodora@gmail.com or mryans@yahoo.com. You can also email us draft questions as well. If we can get some leagues going we will participate in every league and the winners of the leagues will win $300 StubHub gift cards in every league.

Fantasy Football Draft Prep

Fantasy Football Drafts will start taking place with in the next few weeks. Everyone who is actively involved surely is prepping for the drafts, atleast if they want a successful season and draft. It almost feels like the World of Fantasy Football is on hold while the NFL sorts through all the Free Agents. Since nearly 25% of the league became free agents after the lock out it is impossible to rank players with out knowing what situation they are going to be in.
At this point most of the big moves are done, and we have a fairly good idea what is going to happen with the rest. So finally we can move foward with our positional rankings, player rankings, and our top 200 rankings. There will be some players that their stock improves from out preseason rankings like Darren Sproles who is now with the Saints. Though he isn't a top guy he is a good bye week option, or a 3rd option guy. Another guy is Plaxico, he is in a place where he could end up being there big play maker. And a guy who stock will be down abit is Peyton Manning. Questions with his neck, and there offensive line, but he is stil Peyton Manning I would be Leary about using a first or second round pick on him.
So stay tuned as we will begin rolling out our draft rankings.
